Label info: With this release we proudly announce the birth of a new record label: Perplex Recordings. Founded by Christian Witt (with assistance from numerous valuable colleagues), inspired by countless club nights, Perplex aims to connect contemporary and traditional techno sounds. Although Perplex is based in Berlin, it hosts artists from all around the globe. First out on Perplex is Tonny Lasar. Hailing from Athens, Tonny is best known as producer and member of the renowned dj-crew Lunatic Team. Additionally, Tonny has presented a radio show at Best FM, which airs in the Kalamata region in Greece. Many claim Kalamata to be the region with Europe's best olives - ever since Tonny Lasar brought some for us to try, we hands-down agree. Lasar's sound was something that we found immediately compelling. 'Toshiban', the debut EP on Perplex, quickly convinces with its powerful and dirty beats. Its engaging rhythm simply compels you to stand up and dance, or, if already on the dance floor; it ensures you won't leave in a hurry !
