Label info: 'Danse Avec Moi' is the first single to be taken from Nôze's new album, 'Songs On The Rocks', the french duo's most surreal and scintillating vision of dance music yet, to be released on Get Physical Music on April 25th. The 12inch is equipped with remixes from Sascha Funke and the inimitable DJ Koze.'Danse Avec Moi' is a proper love song. It is also Nôze's first ever song in French, and so with typical perversity, they thought it might be amusing to call upon an American to do the singing - the wonderful Dani Siciliano, best known for her albums for !K7 and litany of collaborations with Matthew Herbert. Dani duets elegantly with David Lafore (who also penned the song's lyrics) over a propulsive, swinging 4x4 drum tattoo, bouncy bassline, rippling harp and lavish string arrangements. As is so often the case with Nôze, the piano is at the forefront of the arrangement, providing not just straightforward melody and harmony but eminently danceable rhythm.
