Label info: The Copenhagen DJ and producer Philip Flindt has two 12inch EPs to his credit under the pseudonym LOPHI and was featured with a track on the Agoria Mix CD. Since then he has been considered one of the greatest talents in the Danish techno scene. His solo debut on Freunde Tontraeger shows why this expectation follows him. With 'Forward' he has succeeded with a grooving minimal track which exudes the charm of old CDs and hard drives with a grating bass line. An artful opening of the filter loads the track with so much energy that it is guaranteed to electrify the dancefloor. The Brazilian mastermind Gui Boratto takes things head-on: With even deeper bass and a cut from the original pad, the remix literally moves forward with nearly overwhelming power before it transitions to a second part to which one surrenders without resistance.
